Dr. Mark: I have been married for almost 5 years now. When we married, we agreed to have children someday. I suffered a back injury a few years ago and am mostly better now but my wife has suffered an injury as well. I'm the only income producer in the family. The other night, she stated we either have children or get divorced. That was a shock to hear that. I feel that we are not financially or physically ready to have children. I feel that she has emotional problems as well. So I guess I have a choice, to let her control me and have children or live my own life. Please let me know if I'm thinking clearly now, or is this just an indication of an underlying problem of our marriage.

My daughter is 8 years old and just recently started having problems with hygene. Example- Not wipeing after having a bowl movement and not flushing. I am concerned that there is a underlining problem. We have been dealing with this problem for a couple weeks and she doesn't seem to care so now she is getting grounded because she continues to repeat the behavier. Am I doing the right thing? Is there anything else I should do?

Dr. Mark, I am 21 in 6 days. I have been with my boyfriend for 5 yrs and we have a beautiful daughter who is 10mnths, and I feel so lost! We argue daily He and I are both extremely defensive and want to be right. It seems like his friends, family, and work come before me. When it comes to our baby we have the best of times together watching her grow, and thats one reason I cant let go. So my question is, should I go or should I stay? Is he worth it? And should I stay and just try to be happy and make things work for my daughter?
